TV SHOWS
Thanks to meeting the William Morris Agency's John Hartman in 1964, Chad and Jeremy managed to get booked on American TV shows with unusual frequency for British artists at that time. In addition to their TV series appearances on The Patty Duke Show, The Dick Van Dyke Show, Batman, and Laredo, they appeared as musical guests on The Andy Williams Show, The Danny Kaye Show, Shindig!, Hullabaloo, American Bandstand, and others. See the list at the Chad and Jeremy page on TV.com. [link verified 07/13/2013]
On The Dick Van Dyke Show on 10 February 1965,
C & J played a British pop duo called The Redcoats. They sang the song No Other Baby. See a couple of screen captures on Jason Rhoden's C & J pictures page.
C & J on The Merv Griffin Show. They also appeared as musical guests on The Andy Williams Show, The Danny Kaye Show, Shindig!, Hullabaloo (twice), and (I think) American Bandstand.
C & J were guest stars on The Patty Duke Show, 17 February 1965. In this episode, Patty takes up management of a British pop duo. See entry #73 in the Patty Duke Episode Guide.
Check out this page about Chad and Jeremy's 20 January 1966 appearance on Laredo, Episode 18, in which they play a pair of misadventurous English actors stranded in the old west, who happen to sing, too, of course. It was intended as a pilot for their own series, but it went no further.
In 1966, C & J also appeared in two Batman episodes 14-15 December 1966. The Cat's Meow and The Bat's Kow Tow centered on Catwoman's theft of the duo's voices.
